Executive producers Richard Sheffield and Bryan Lowe join the team.

A previous draft of this script made the quarter finals of the prestigious "Big Australian" Script competition. The current draft is much stronger thanks to development funding from ScreenWest, enabling Steve to work with Director Matty Limpus and Tim Maddocks. Now it's even better and ready to go.

“This script delivers on the genre promise and has an outstanding pace” Peter Belsito, Film Finders LA.

The team was selected for the X Media Lab development workshop in Sydney where international film and interactive media developers mentored the team and explored pathways.

Psyclops was also pitched at the highly competitive Holding Redlich Pitching competition at the 2004 SPAA conference on the Gold Coast. Read more about Psyclops.

The Rite: Maddfilms is very proud to be partnering NEW DARK AGES in a film entitled The Rite: “Evil grows in the graveyard of broken dreams, as one man’s frustration turns his Muse into a demon that possesses him.” An atmospheric horror akin to The Exorcist, Angel Heart and The Name of the Rose. It was inspired by medieval literature.

Although set in the present, The Rite was inspired by Dante Alighieri’s works, particularly La Vita Nuova and Inferno. Among many references to Dante’s themes, it also rescues the poet’s idea of Greek deities spending eternity in Limbo, the benign first circle of Hell.

Award winning short film director Daniel Giambruno takes the reigns on his first feature, with Tim Maddocks pulling this team together as Producer. Their recent collaboration, the short film The New Life has been selected to 9 film festivals across the globe.

Death’s Requiem: Following the Success of Maddfilms first funded film – the 30’ short Death’s Requiem, a feature is being developed by Tim Maddocks with Writer / Director Marc Furmie. More details will be posted shortly or you can contact tim@maddfilms.com for the latest news.
