SYNOPSIS
Estranged brothers, torn apart by senseless tragedy, inherit a treasured 1947 Harley Davidson Knucklehead motorcycle from their dying father in a last ditch effort to make amends for the suffering he put his son, Andy, through over the death of his wife.
Drifting into the military and serving tours in the worst of Afghanistan, a reclusive Andy struggles to cope with his PTSD and retreats to an empty corner of the barren west.
After years turning his back on his troubled brother Stanton comes home to see his dying father for the last time. He’s compelled, cajoled and guilt-tripped into tracking down his lost brother and delivering the bike as a last ditch peace offering. There’s been no trace of Andy for years so Stanton must piece together the found fragments of his brother’s life.
Stanton’s 1500 mile odyssey across the back roads of the rapidly fading American west forces him to come to terms with his own demons and his part in Andy’s suffering. Along the way he unexpectedly finds love with Dakota, a small town waitress yearning for something bigger, and encounters a myriad of oddball characters who reach out to help. To some the old bike is just rusted junk but others see through the oil stains and faded paint to the icon of engineering that made Harley the greatest motorcycle builder in the world.
The outlaw Stone Brothers motorcycle gang steals the Knucklehead and sets Stanton on a collision course with Andy. They’ll need to stand together, back to back and fight for their legacy.
